Intrepid

The Intrepid room is named after a ship built by the Jardine ship builders. The Jardines kept this ship and hauled lumber and other products to Scotland. It brought many Scottish Immigrants to the Rexton area. It was a barque of 492 tons built in 1839. A book about the ship, "The Last Voyage of the Intrepid", was written by local author Marjorie Thompson.

This room has a pair of single sleighbeds. The beds are covered with down duvets and the ensuite bathroom has an antique footed tub to soak in.
Two windows on each side wall allow a wonderful breeze to cross the room.

Intrepid
Wacissa

The Wacissa sailed the sea for eight years and crossed the ocean at least 60 times. In October of 1886, the Wacissa was sailing out of the Richibucto harbour, when a squall struck and it was wrecked on a reef. The Pine Lady, the figure head attached to the ship, was rescued and took her place on another Jardine ship.

The Wacissa room is a favourite of the inkeepers because from the quaint dormer window you can look down on Main Street and through the bridge. The queen sized sleigh bed with down duvet, ensures a peaceful sleep. The antique tub in the ensuite bath is perfect for a leisurely soak.

Ellen Douglas

The Ellen Douglas was the first ship (barque) built by John Jardine in 1819. It took cargo, mainly lumber, to Scotland and returned with immigrants, many of whom settled along the Richibucto River.

The Ellen Douglas room has wonderful woodwork around the large windows. Being on the main floor of the Inn, the room is large, has a queen sized sleigh bed giving you a restful sleep. The ensuite bath is equally spacious with an antique claw footed tub.

Reliance

The Reliance was launched on August 23rd, 1835. A spectator was hit on the nose by the launch bottle.

The Reliance room is a favourite of guests. It is the most requested room, having an antique footed tub and a full sized bicycle covered in wicker. It is furnished with a queen sized sleigh bed, down duvet, cable TV, and a comfortable wing chair.

Private Bathroom
Tikoma

The Tikoma room is named after a Jardine ship that was part of the Jardine fleet that was wrecked off Pictou Harbour in Nova Scotia. Should you visit the New Brunswick Museum in Saint John, you can see the figurehead, the Pine Lady which adorned her stern. The Tikoma was a 820 ton bargue built in 1877.

The Tikoma is one of the Inn's more spacious rooms due to its positioning on the first floor. The room contains a comfortable queen sized sleigh bed that delivers a peaceful night's rest. The private bath is as equally large as the room and contains an antique tub with clawed feet.
